Retirement Planning Made Simple

In this series we usually take an article or a book and pull out one thought worth exploring further. As our new business planning starts to research the world of “Retirement Planning”, we found a number of books from which we felt a need to make the whole thing a lot easier to understand. One clear trend is that the world is moving away from employees finding “retirement solace” from Defined Benefit Schemes (employees who expect an inflation linked and known income) towards employees in Defined Contribution Schemes- who have a need to manage their assets in a world of uncertainty and risk. So, we felt the need to provide a template for a basic overview to retirement planning. The article is written as an overview. It is designed as an A to Z of the retirement planning process. Superficial maybe – but is our intent to add intensity to the subject at every level covered in the article for every age and for every demographic group.
